Welcome to Hellesdon Horticultural Association

The Society wishes you a very warm welcome and hope you enjoy browsing our website.  Our objective is to promote and encourage gardening and gardens and to foster the passing on of skills and knowledge of all things to do with horticulture.

Whether your interests are in flora or vegetable gardening (or, we hope, both), we believe there are great benefits to be gained from an active interest in horticulture, from the opportunity to lead a healthier lifestyle and improved diet to helping the environment through organic recyling of garden materials.  The satisfaction of growing your own produce or plants is one to be savoured.

In addition to encouraging the cultivation of flowers, fruit and vegetables and swapping information and ideas on horticulture we run social events and regular meeting; with members encouraged to hone their gardening skills through our Shows and competitions.  You can read more about our 2008 Shows here.

Hellesdon Horticultural Association is run by, and run for, members of the local community in Hellesdon parish and the surrounding district, part of the city of Norwich, Norfolk.  We also like to encourage young people in the community to learn about horticulture and take up gardening.  If you want to know more why not contact us or see the Membership page for details on how to join the Society.  We look forward to seeing you.
